Refund Policy

Refunds will be given based on the refund policy guidelines as prescribed by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation. All refunds, when due, will be made with or without the request of the student. Refund percentages are calculated only in regard to the tuition cost of the program after classes begin.

            If a student cancels his/her contract and demands their money back within (3) business days of the signing of the contract, but before the start of classes, all monies collected by the school will be refunded. In the case of attendance of any hours, refunds will be made according to the policy. A student who fails to physically attend classes during the first 5 days of class will be withdrawn due to non-attendance. If tuition and fees are collected in advance of the start date of classes and the student does not begin classes or withdraws on the first day’s classes, the school will retain no more than $100.00 of the tuition and fees. The refund will be made to the student, guardian or appropriate agency within 30 days of the class start date.

            If a student terminates or is expelled after having begun classes, he/she will not receive any refund of the registration fee, enrollment fee or the student supplies cost. He/she will receive a refund, paid within 30 days of tuition only, according to the following schedule of Tuition adjustment, based on the total number of possible hours that could have been completed (enrolled or scheduled hours) according to the student’s schedule and contract, and less a $100.00 termination fee:

            If the student withdraws or is terminated after having begun classes and before the last 50% of the course, the school shall refund:

  • 90% of any outstanding tuition for a withdrawal or termination that occurs during the first week or first one tenth of the course, whichever period is shorter;

  • 80% of any outstanding tuition for a withdrawal or termination that occurs after the first week or first one tenth of the course, whichever period is shorter, but within the first three weeks of the course;

  • 75% of any outstanding tuition for a withdrawal or termination that occurs after the firs three weeks of the course but not later than the completion of the first 25% of the course;

  • 50% of any outstanding tuition for a withdrawal or termination that occurs not later than the completion of the first 50% of the course.

If the student withdraws or is terminated during the last 50% of the course, the school may retain 100% of the tuition and fees paid by the student.

            If the school is permanently closed and no longer offering instruction after a student has enrolled, the student shall be entitled to a prorated refund of tuition. If tuition and fees are collected in advance of the start date of a program and the school cancels the class, the school shall provide a full refund of all tuition and fees collected within 30 days of the planned start date.

            The student should understand that they are responsible for the payment of all tuition, fees and other costs associated with attending the school. Failure to obtain anticipated scholarships or special incentive award does not excuse the student from their obligation.
